It's a pity Lotus didn't get their punctuation correct in that first sentence though. No commas. Or should that be comma's ? :?

Hi grammar police here.

If you mean a comma after "understanding" you're right.

If you mean an apostrophe (') as opposed to a comma (,) after Lotus, then there are 2 possibilities:

1) literature of Lotus: Lotus' literature.
2) if using Lotus as an adjectival noun: Lotus literature.

Both are grammatically correct.

End of smart arse post. :D :D

This has nothing to do with grammar
as Colin Chapman always said Lotus is singular and plural and there is no apostrophe or extra letters
it is only Lotus
whether there be none.... 1 ......or thousands

When do we start discussing the letter E

Grammatically
The correct common use English language plural would be Lotuses.
I keep my Lotuses in my garage.

As Lotus is a Latin word from a Greek word it's plural might be Loti. But it sounds a little pretentious. One is going to look like a knob.
One keeps one's Loti in one's garage.
N.b. The correct pronoun should also be used.

To suggest that it is an uncountable noun ie Lotus, is confusing and one is going to look like a knob, or you're going to look a bit simple.
I keep my Lotus in my garage.

I'll stick with Colin Chapman's use of Lotuses.

The purpose of language is to be understood.

I don't think you have, grammatically police is an uncountable noun, the addition of person is superfluous, besides which the use of person is PC (pun) rather than grammar. In this context should it not be Grammar Police? meaning a representative from that body.

I think it may be necessary to distinguish between the useage of the word 'police' as either a noun or a verb....

.... whilst the more common may be as a noun, I tend to utilise it more as a verb. (but that doesn't mean that I'm correct).

That would a lacist remark.

While the plural of lotus can indeed be lotuses (sounds terrible, is terrible) or lotii (oh look at me, I paid attention in Latin class - sounds even worse than lotuses)...the plural of Lotus is Lotus.

Because. :D
