I really wasn't too sure about these, didn't really have much appeal for me but I found these in the big yard and bolted them in, now I'm
thinking maybe they look alright . Hood goes up and down with them ok. Pretty simple to fit, I bolted them to the B pillar below the seat belt
mechanism, adjustable up and down ,they are actually very rigidly fitted, and they are one piece with a joining bar lower down between them,
probably not a lot of use in a roll over though but who knows, not planning on testing them!.

These ones I got were on an MX5, 1995 onwards. There are tons of hoops on ebay for MX5's but I cant specifically see these ones, similar
but not exact. These ones I believe are genuine OEM Mazda ones which have a removable mesh wind blocker. Brushed aluminium.

Remember they are style hoops and not roll over protection.

For anyone interested they can be fitted very simply and fairly rigid provided you can make up two U shaped pieces from flatbar 30mm x 5mm,
on which you drill two holes, one bolts to the hoops, and the other end of the U bracket is clamped with the existing bolt that holds the hood
frame near the top of the B post. Once again the good news is you don't have to make any modification to the car whatsoever, so they can
be removed with no evidence they had ever been fitted, apart from maybe a picture on the Internet, which some people will love, and some
will loathe, but who cares what others think, its your car and you can do what you want to it .

I must admit though I was sceptical about them until I actually fitted them, everyone that has seen them for real has agreed they look
pretty good. And price wise... sweetie money!, I bet you paid more for your bottle of plonk Rambo .

I doubt any one of us plans to test our roll hoops.
We fitted them in the belief that they will offer protection should the worst happen. G UK's first Elan was thrown into a kerb at about 70mph by a burst tyre which caused it to roll through a field.
It may not be a tyre which fails. A suspension component could give way. Even well inspected things could get missed & F1 cars have been known to suffer failures with brand new components.

I don't plan to fall off my bike but, in addition to a helmet, I also consider gloves & glasses to be essential protection so never ride without them.

Unequivocally haven't referred or implied to them as being any form of safety component whatsoever folks, to the extent of not even using the term 'roll hoops'
at any time in reference to the item in question, to avoid any confusion I will state once again as per the comment above... These are style hoops, and most certainly not fitted in the belief they will offer any form of roll over protection.
