Payment received, Mark, thanks. See this link for Samco colours. I think normal black is a bit shinier, whereas classic black is more of a matt finish like a standard radiator hose. A case of how original you want to be

UPDATE FOR OUR US FRIENDS

Following a couple of enquiries, I spoke to Chris at Merlin this morning. Sorry I couldn't do it sooner, but we were rather busy yesterday with my mum's funeral.

Merlin would be very happy to arrange a group buy on the US kit (14 hoses) for US members. It will need to be a single order, with a single payment from the US, and a single US shipping address. Your kit is different, and they won't mix the two different products on the UK group order. Payment has to come direct from the US (i.e. not through me) otherwise you'll be charged VAT, which will put the price up by 20%

So, to sum up, if one of you wants to organise this from the US, Merlin will do a deal; price will depend on the number of kits you order. As I'm on the spot, I'm happy to facilitate if you wish, but I can't take payment or delivery for the reasons mentioned. Sorry. I suggest you set up a new Group Buy thread and see how much interest there is, and go from there.

Nah, purple is the new blue.
In the case of my Samco hoses at least. My car came with a set of blue ones (the previous owner thought the purple might not match), I’m glad he never got round to fitting them because I don’t think the blue would match. Hence why I sold them. (To Fredjohn who may still have that little metal piece spare?)

I checked today and Merlin have 19mm connector pieces, from stock, in a variety of lengths. According to muley, it doesn’t actually need to be a reducer, and I haven’t so far been able to find anyone who has fitted the reducer. I’ve turned one up on a lathe just to see it works. Anyone with more knowledge, please share.
