Pigeon post has just delivered the magazine to Aberdeen. Nice to see both LEC and the Elan mentioned prominently. A good write-up. Well done to the author. That should attract some interest to the stand and flush out some closet M100 fanciers!

37 cars in attendance ....

I cannot even start to tell you how impressive that is ...
for a 30 year old low production car that has become the forgotten / overlooked front wheel drive lotus that broke the company . When we turn up en mass like this to a lotus event we make a noise .We will fill the entire back row as the featured car . Nobody has ever done that as a feature car. Not even the Elise 111's or Esprits.
Not only do we make a noise . Manufacturers take note that we are still alive and kicking ( which means active potential sales for their products which is a good thing or a chance of reproducing out of stock items)

But above all we are still actively alive and kicking .... an amazing , like minded car club that turns up for a cuppa tea / coffee / slice of cake but also have a great time catching up and chatting about anything and everything, not just cars. Yes this year we have a great 20/30 VIP line up ..... but you know whats the best thing about us at LEC and the M100 .. We would still turn up in a dusty car park even without that ...

I really look forward to seeing you all and your cars , but if your car is still in pieces ( as mine has been for many years now) its about being part of it .Everyone is always welcome . LEC newbies , lurkers , occasional posters , right up to the daily posters with or without car.

A car club is truly nothing without the people and that is what has made LOTUS ELAN CENTRAL the best worldwide database of the M100 by contribution over the last 20 year - and the free membership participation is going to make this 20 year Lotus Elan Central , 30 year Lotus Elan M100 , Mike kimberley , Peter Stevens , Barrie Wills , AND YOU , the most memorable ever ..

No need for a ticket, just turn up. (Preferably for the convoy -details on itinerary page). You’ll need to put your name down for the Saturday night curry and Sunday morning breakfast if you want to go. Need to pay for breakfast now, keep an eye on the curry thread for details. Merchandise can be paid for on the day (as far as I know).

As Kathryn points out, just turn up. Club Lotus Castle Combe track day has never ever been ticketed.

The only advance payment is for the Sunday Breakfast at the hotel. See relevant thread, but you haven't volunteered for that (yet!!)

All events at the circuit incl the LEC itinerary are free entry, except the optional circuit laps, which are organised by Club Lotus anyway not LEC. Book thru Club Lotus if you are a member, although it may be fully booked by now. BUT the lunchtime PARADE LAP of M100s is free.

If you have put your name down for cups/mugs/(free stickers?) and Saturday eve curry, pay on the day.

There is a convoy from M4 junct with A429 leaving 8am (I think!!) FREE!

If you are thinking of making a weekend of it, then we have a certain number of pitches reserved at the nearby campsite - but these numbers will need to be firmed up nearer the time, so it is worth sticking yourself on that list of you are camping with the rest of us. (again, it is pay-on-the-day, so nowt to stump up for now).
