06/06/2019 Notification to all purchasers.

Since all members have finally transferred payment of the requested deposit (with the exception of Wayne who actually paid in full - RH cover + postage + insurance) I have decided to close this Group Buy for the M100 rear light covers as of today. The list therefore comprises 18 pairs and 2 RH side covers. I also have a last minute request for 1 additional pair and am awaiting the deposit. This should not delay unduly the transfer of the total sum to our supplier who in turn will initiate the production process. You will of course naturally all receive confirmation of the transfer of the total sum. Delivery is scheduled for September/October. By that time you will be able to pay the balance by credit card/bank transfer in GBP or US Dollars (Maxime not too sure about Canadian Dollars?) and for our French colleagues in Euros.

There is no offering for anything different except for with or without the fog lamps.

I don't know if the tint is critical for inspection and I assume it is there because Renault specified it originally, but a "Clear" outer cover was never available from Lotus.

If a tinted version was required, there would be no problem since the tint is added during production (coloured/dyed in the mass).
Very few have voiced their choice !
How would you suggest going about this as we must avoid manufacturing "covers" which the purchasers finally do not wish!!!! Up till now only John_W specified "clear" covers.
Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I would allow anyone that specifically asked for "clear" to make them as requested. Maybe you should contact each buyer and specifically ask whether they want clear or tinted? (Group buy management is rarely a fun task). Are you sure he meant clear covers and not clear lenses?

The manufacturer would probably do the clear covers first and then tint the remaining resin to the proper tint thus making him blend the resin only once.
Myself, I would want the covers to be as close to original as possible, but that is MY choice.
I was only trying to picture the extra work needed when making the covers in different tints.
The lense attachment behind the cover is fairly crude, so maybe someone could take pictures of a light with no cover (to represent clear) and then with the cover installed. My pile of lights are all missing different lenses so would not be helpful.
I think they were tinted to better blend in to the semi-gloss black surrounding panel.

Original colour covers for me please. 1question I have is, on the covers, are you suppling the reflector cover in the middle aswell. As this is part of the cover. Stupid question sorry.

Just my thoughts, is NO. The reflector is NOT part of the cover, it is glued on after the fact. If you need one, I can scrounge one from a broken cover I have.
