I just heard from my insurer that my lovely turquoise Lotus Elan S2 (nr 208) will not be repaired, as uneconomical, so they are putting category N on it. My local garage in London quoted a price of £6000 to repair it. I think after many years it is time for me to say goodbye to the car in one way or another. However, I feel bad if it simply will be used for spare cars as was a joy to drive, and is quite clearly repairable. My insurer lets me buy it for £2532 so if anyone is interested in taking this one they can have it for a price above it. I live in London NW3 and happy to show it to anyone, but this is not going to be advertised on any website. Condition of car was probably below average (window rubber not good and small tear in roof), although it has been well maintained, I have a service record book and LOW MILEAGE at about 52,000 miles. Yep - that's the whole point..... I love a bit of a project. I have all the bits I would need to do whatever needs doing (I'd have to get some seats, but that isn't hard!)...... and I'm not a huge fan of BRG Elans.

Hello again LEC. It’s 3 years since I sold my Elan and I’ve been searching for a replacement ever since! This one has been on eBay a couple of times with no bids.. I’m going to view it on Friday.. just wondered if anyone knew the car or had any thoughts on why it might not have sold.. 6.5k looks like a good price for a tidy S2 in that colour

M100 SP.

Now many moons ago this was marked as a dog by me. THIS IS NOT THE MARKED CAR. So anyone doing a history check on here please note that it's been plated changed to this m100.

The old dog which was medina green finally got broken up by Margaret65? On here I think.

I cannot speak for the condition of this car though it looks very nice but I would hate to think any potential buyer was put off by recognising the M00 SP plate.

M10 OSP - car is listed as being #463......

..... according to the S2 database, last seen in July 2008 for sale at £9k with 58,200 miles on the clock, but no registration plate listed.

MOT history suggests that it has been sensibly used & looked after since then, so probably a good, honest car.
