yes, wayne did post 4 kits for me. but not arrived yet.
he mentioned post from barhain seems to be slower than usual this time.
he told me to get in touch with him friday if the stuff doesnt arrive by then.

my package has not arrived either, ive sent him a message this morning.

Although i have never purchased anything from Wayne in the past, he has a good reputation in the forum and has been referred by people i trust, im confident this is just a minor set back.

Martin mentioned he had a kit lying about, maybe you can ask him nicely and just give him yours when it arrives.

I found half a kit in the boot of my car 2 weeks ago. it turns out the previous owner rebuild one of the motors and just sold the car with the other kit there waiting to be fitted, so i have solved the issue in my car, as well as the power steering last week. unfortunately now i have a steering wheel that is ofset by about 5 degrees and im still getting a weird noise at speed from the passenger side. i initially thought it was the wheel bearing but theres no play =(

Ken,
i got a reply from wayne now, he mentioned someone received a package yesterday that was posted on the 19th of september, so its possible theres some unusual delays going on and both hour packages may arrive next week.
he offered to send me a second package via DHL with the 4 kits i bought which if posted monday should arrive before the next meeting on the 17th, I told him to hold on that thought untill i heard back from you.

I also ordered one or Dipak but given the fact he is not active in this forum and he's elan is rarely used, its impossible for me to know how urgently he needs the headlamp fixed (he originally had the problem 3 months ago, so my assumption is that is not very urgent)
The drive bushings that came out of my motor are in very good condition, you can have them for free. which should get you back on the road until the whole postage situation is sorted.

If you take your motor out and open it, you can confirm if the issue is the common one where the 3 drive bushings have worn down to dust.

with some luck, you can use my old bushings in order to keep the car on the road for now, and i will just wait another week for the royal mail to sort itself out, if nothing happens, i'll ask wayne to post the second batch via DHL and just hand over the kits next month

Ah brilliant. Wayne refunded me but if the kit turns up I'll pay him and keep it as a spare so I'd be glad to take one from you on Thursday.

I intend to be there, Elan has new cambelt and new MOT , but both rear calipers (VW Golf ones) are in bits whilst I fit new seals. Hopefully will be finished by Thursday, if not it'll be the Evora again.
