Carpet Replacement

Hi, I’m looking to replace the worn carpets in my black elan over the next few months - probably in red - and was wondering if anyone had done the recently and knew of any suppliers or had any advice?

I've been on the lookout for new carpet sets too. Couple of threads on here but doesn't seem to be a supplier that makes a specific pattern replacement. I'll probably check a interior trimmer to get them made (depending on cost).

There are no more 'off the shelf' carpets available (unless anyone has a set squirrelled away for the future) as the factory sold off their 'old stock' 12 years ago and they were all bought for members on LEC at the time....... no-one has ever (to my knowledge) made an aftermarket pattern version.

When I did mine, I used sheets of flat black car carpet (actually from a BMW MINI) and fitted them myself - although the originals are moulded, it isn't actually that hard to make a neet job of doing them - and if you don't feel that you have the time/inclination/patience, then it would be easily within the scope of an upholsterer or trimmer.

There is an NL based company who does aftermarket and has the patterns.
I'll have to dig deeeeeep though to see if i can find them again...

One of the old threads I found was a guy, I think from NI, who had a set made by Coverdale in tbe UK. - he supplied the patterns but Coverdale didn't keep them.

I'm about to start cutting my carpets up to make patterns but if there is a possibility I'll hang fire for a while.
