Door seals

The seals on my doors aren't marvellous, so I'm going to replace them with rubber items. Does anyone have a good idea of which donor seals are most effective as a replacement? I will probably end up doing a cut and glue job with several pieces I have from various cars, but if there is a simple cheap option I'd be keen to know it.

Yep - I followed Jamies advice and used the FTO seals - a bit of fettling required around the end where the door lock is, but otherwise quite a straightforward fit.

What is the best source of these seals? Not available in the USA though as car was never sold here.

Right I've got my new (ish) door seals from an FTO. It looks like they need a little fettling to fit properly, can some one post a photo of the finished article on an Elan door so that I can see what needs trimming off?

Thanks in advance. I will need these to work so my new A-pillar seals can integrate with them properly, otherwise wet foot wells will be the order of every rainy day!
