FOOTBALL (PREMIERSHIP) - CARP POSTS WELCOME - WHINERS FLAMED

I enjoy football and so long as my team wins(!) I will always love watching a good football match.

However I am thoroughly disgusted at the approach and attitude of some premiership clubs. To put backroom staff on furlough, claim taxpayers' money to subsidise these essential staff, and not reduce players wages is just appalling. All premier league players should be forced to take pay cuts and clubs should be banned from claiming furlough payment.

If they don't, one MP's suggestion of a windfall tax on those club seems a great idea.

All credit to Barcelona Messi and many other European clubs and players for taking a 70% cut.

FA still living in it's own little bubble.

Brighton manager is one of only 2 premiership manager to take a pay cut up to now.

How is Jamal Khashoggi's murderer a fit and proper person to run a football club?

[dapinky]

Will they still be associated with Newcastle Brown?????

[Dave Eds]

How is Jamal Khashoggi's murderer a fit and proper person to run a football club?

He won't be - it's Newcastle United

[esprit888]

WAIT, what! Newcastle has a football team ? who knew !

[GeoffSmith]

As long as the Cashley tat shop signs disappear, I don't mind. I'll continue to show my support for the downtrodden and oppressed workers and keep boycotting Sports Direct, Jack Wills, Game, Flannels, Sofa.com, House of Fraser, Evans Cycles, Everlast, Agent Provocateur, Lillywhites and Sweatshop (how appropriate). I guess you'll still boycott BP, Boeing, Citigroup, Facebook, Marriot International, Disney, Cisco, Bank of America, Royal Dutch Shell & Suncor Energy and walk everywhere rather than put fuel (10% of which comes from SA) in your car Paul. Steve Bruce's Black and White Army.

Long time since Broon was on the shirt Dave and it tastes shite now it's brewed in Yorkshire but this made me laugh. #CANS

Quote from a Fulham player after losing to a last minute goal by Wolves:

'At the end of the day, it's just not our night'
