Hi guys, just bringing this to the top as I've recently joined and need a new passenger side cap for an S2. Mine flew off many years ago at Classic Le Mans never to be seen again. Obviously I'd like to replace both sides. I have a great mechanic who would fit them. If they are still available could someone give me an update please?

Wayne was selling them either via his website http://www.elanm100.com/web-shop or through ebay.

Suggest you contact him directly to get the latest status. He lives in Bahrain where lockdown is in force and post office is difficult, but he can still ship if he has them available.

I spoke with Wayne a few days ago and the cost (and stress) for him to ship anything has gone up a crazy amount so he has decided to stop selling anything until the "crisis" has been resolved.

He will resume once he doesn't have to spend a lot of time in the crowded post offices that are available to him in Bahrain.

I have several sets of his caps but the US has also gone crazy with postage prices and right now "expedited" means over two weeks in transit and then tied up in Customs.

I have used a shipping broker recently but they are not inexpensive. Caps cost $55.00 for the pair and shipping is around $55.00***.

If Geoff /LEC doesn't have any, I would be happy to sell a set (or more), but it might be more cost effective to be patient and wait until postage costs are less of a problem.


*** If anyone else wants to "share" the postage costs, It costs the same amount to ship up to 4 pairs at the same time. According to my spreadsheet, I have 3 sets available but I can verify that later today.

Nyloc, Geoff would be the best person to get them from. As said, I'm not trusting the postal service at the moment and have cancelled all of my eBay items.
My only current shipping option is DHL shipments which would cost about £10 for a 1/2 kg package. ( I get discount as I work for DHL, and it actually works out cheaper than some of the post office options and is extremely quick and reliable)

Noticed that your in York. My home town is about 25 miles south from you, hope to see you driving around the area should I ever be allowed back in the UK.

My sister's husband is an aircraft technician on a contract over in Riyadh, I know they've had a few delays with parcels but all seem to have turned up eventually.
Envious of your Evora, when I had to sell my Elise due to problems getting out I got a Boxster PDK. It's ok for long trips but a bit dull and heavy. I was tempted by an Evora as I know access is a bit easier than the Elise, but I couldn't afford one as new as I'd want. Coincidentally my first M100 SE was Pacific Blue like yours. I love my current S2 in azure blue, not seen many others in the colour over the years.
