Plastic housing behing the knob, door locking

Postby Pascal » Thu 18.10.2012, 22:37

Hello,

i tried to find my info on the forum, the wiki and elsewhere ...

the trim/knob with the famous 'orange clip' is sliding into some kind of box/curved housing that also locks the door panel.
Most of you know that there is a tricky screw there :
if you want to remove the door panel, you have to take off this screwed housing.

The previous owner of my M100 obvisouly didn't know, and most likely didn't mind : he simply broke the housing (and the door panel there).

I have repaired what i can, i have even the orange spare clips for the button, but the housing is broken.
Does someone know if this grey housing can be found as a spare ?

I tried to find in the Wauxhall spares acouple of hours, but i gave up.

Is this a picture of the part you're looking for?

If it is then the Lotus part number is A100B0090F

SJS have them listed here for £0.83 + VAT & P&P but whether they are still available is another matter!

Look for someone breaking a Vauxhall Carlton. I got a couple off Gumtree a few months back.
