I believe I'm missing a couple of clips for the window switches, can anybody please enlighten me as to what they look like?

SJs require you to submit an enquiry for a quotation, which probably does mean it isn't available. It only appears if you do a complete database search, ie don't restrict search to M100.

Suggest you try the usual 2nd hand suppliers: DVB, lotusbits, appollo996 on ebay and also margaret_65 on ebay who is breaking an Elan or 2.

Deroure.com online or a hard copy of the parts manual from BCN are a great place to identify parts as well as working out how they fit, their location etc etc. (which I guess you did!) I always use them as the start point, then go to SJs to check real availability, price and so on. Then I search ebay and LEC or WikiLEC for other options, alternatives, original source OEM use etc depending on the part.

Unfortunately the WikiLEC link for this surround, although identified as Opel part no.1241069, is now no longer available from the quoted supplier!

Yes, that's what I have done, they came back as part no longer available

Are you looking for and entire switch or the small latch clip on the end?
Switches show up on eBay US, UK and Germany every now and then, but recently rarely in the correct brown.
If you just need the latch clip, I might have one from a broken switch.

Mark, if its the complete switch you need you can get ones from a Corsa C (2000 on) ,and after a very simple mod they will fit straight
into your centre console, and I can tell you this...they work and sit better than the originals, I posted about them on here a while back
but money saving mods on here are often ignored .

This is them fitted, they cost £1 each from the salvage yard, or you could buy a pair of the hundreds on ebay for very slightly more.

Wow!, thats fleabay for you. Go into any scrappy and you will find a pile of Corsa's, The one I go to currently has 46 of them breaking .
The plug is obviously different but you cut the wiring and keep the Corsa plug and working out which is which isn't difficult. If Dave
has them fitted I'm certain he could do a better description of a 'How to' than me!.

Definitely worth the effort, get a few spares as well and you will never need to bother that the originals are obsolete.

I trawled through the various 'Corsa C window switches' adverts until I found one with pictures including the plug and a bit of the loom wiring.

Then a quick message to the seller to confirm that the listing included the bits I needed and not just the switch.....

....then i simply fitted the 4 wires to the existing loom in the Elan (using a multimeter I worked out which was which, but as the car is not in the lounge with me i can't recall what was what ).....

.... job done - I now have both plugs fitted to the loom in the car so I can use either Lotus switches or Corsa switches (not that I'll go back to Lotus ones until I can find a pair the right colour for £4 each!!!!!!!).

They are complete with connector and pigtail wiring and even comes with an original freehand wiring diagram on the back of a disposable glove box by the master of seals himself

I had intended to fit these on mine but I have plenty of other things to work on at the moment so happy to send on if wanted.

There is an even cheaper option:
Repair them!
(True, not for the faint at heart)

I managed to repair a couple by disassembling, ultrasonically clean, contact spray and bend around on the metal bits untill you think they once more have about the right amount of tension.

By the way: i managed to permantly ruined one or two as well!
