A-Panel/Quarter Panels_Square shaped Bolts

Postby M100TURBOFR » Thu 02.07.2020, 13:28

Hello
Are the square-shaped bolts for attaching the A Panel/Quarter panel at top still available?
Also looking for part (sleeve?) for attaching the door check strap (round-shaped part which secures the checkstrap to the door)

Thanks
David

I take it you mean these David (A100B6020F) ?

https://www.sjsportscars.com/parts-and- ... B6020F.htm

Or these (B100B0080F) ?

https://www.sjsportscars.com/parts-and- ... B0080F.htm

They are cheap enough, but by the time you factor in postage and VAT

I know SimonR was doing some replacement fixings for the A panel but I don't think it was the jtems you are after. I 'll see if I can find the topic and get back to you

David is looking for the upper bolts that are bonded to the A-Panel. They never had a part #.

I have a few used A-Panels on the shelf and could probably salvage a couple of the bolts if it becomes necessary.

Maybe someone closer to him has a damaged A-Panel they can offer?

The Sleeve is the first part Rambo posted.

Mark Hi
Thanks for info. It is indeed A100B6020F I require. Postage is ludicrous.
Last link was the bottom fixings for the A panel. I'm looking for the top fixings (square-shaped bolts)

John
Hi
Thanks for offer. I'll probably end up using a flat rounded bolt.

It's a shame that postage to a different country has gone stupidly expensive.

I just used a standard sort of bolt and bonded it onto the 'A' panel.......

I seem to remember it's just a thin square headed bolt bonded to the A panel.

Thanks for all replies
Geoff: That's exactly it.
Dave: Yes, your solution is what I've been envisaging. Will end up using a "home-made" flat(ish) bolt and bond it to the A Panel

The bighead fixings are used on the clamshell (can't remember if I used 2 or 4 of them though)..... it's been a while since I did my A panels, but I would think that the heads would need a fair bit of fettling to get them close enough to the edge to work.... but I may be wrong (again!).

£3.90 postage for something about the size and weight of a couple of paper clips is, I admit, taking the pi$$. Sometimes if you phone Steve, dependent on which side of the bed ge has got out of, he will cut the postage charges. I would expect something like that to be sent in a small envelope for under £1 max.

Hello All
Thanks for your replies.
18,04€ (Euros / £16,22 GBP) - Delivery + Vat - to send a part costing £1,70 GBP and weighing only 0,01 kg is outrageous. I'll try and speak to Steve to see if he's willing to pop it in an envelope (Jiffy) and send it off.
I can only presume that this £16,22 refers to a dispatch via DHL or other carrier.
Thanks again
