Thanks to RonR, I now have a SVG file of the Cat-on-Skates.

Hello,
A right click on the picture showed in your browser should allow you to "save as" a svg, or you could also right click on the
http://www.mirari.fr/Mej7.svg link and choose "save target link as ..." and then save it as a svg on your computer.

I am running Linux and FireFox, but even so I expected that either of those options would allow me to save the file – but as you can see from the pictures GINIW, she-no-go!
I am sooo happy to be retired and no longer supporting computer users for a living.

Well I guess "save link as" from the right click menu in your first picture should work?
As for the second picture, I use Firefox (windows) too and I do have a "save as" menu item, so it's a bit strange. Maybe the "save page as" would work.

You are correct with both of those suggestions GINIW.
SAVE LINK AS for the first picture does save the SVC, but from the wording I thought that I would get the location, not the file, so I did not even try that option.
And the second picture’s option of SAVE PAGE AS also did the job – I just didn’t look far enough to find a sub-menu option of WEB PAGE, SVG ONLY. I expected the whole page of coding and other twaddle to be saved, and when that was presented as the default option I incorrectly assumed that I was right, and went no further.
In my defence, saving JPGs and PNGs give completely different wording, and when I did not see those as options I abandoned ship.
It seems that it is just as well that I am no longer an IT support person!
