TH - you jest but I know someone in Scotland who flew down to Hethel and picked up one if the first production Evora's on Friday, drove 1000 miles in France over the w/e and returned it on Monday morning for its preliminary service/check. Drove it back to Scotland the same day

I believe he did the same thing with a supercharged Exige but drove it up to Scotland and back over a w/e

Not surprisingly, he is one of Hethel's best customers

And his other mate bought the supercharged Evora especially commissioned for Kimi Raikonnen when he was racing for Lotus. In fact, Kimi was so successful a driver for Lotus that he nearly bankrupted them due to a performance clause

But, back to the KR Evora which bore Kimi's signature in several places... It is now owned, and has been for several years, by LEC's very own BigErch. As well as owning this Archie has owned 2 M100's, 2 Esprits (including the Peter Stevens Esprit) and now also has a new "baby" Elan

I gave Archie his 1st ever drive in a Lotus M100 and he was so impressed he went out and bought a BRG. Unfortunately Archie has never let me drive Kimi's Evora. Yet !

Ken - anything left of Shotts is west and anything right of Shotts is east

In its strictest sense we do have a central belt ie Stirling, Grangemouth, Falkirk, Shotts, Clackmannanshire, Lanarkshire etc... but to all intents and purposes east is east and west is best (waits slagging off from ScottJ )

And technically the west of Scotland is anything from Portpatrick northwards. And the east of Scotland is anything north of Berwick to JoG

Anything left of me is west and anything right is the north sea

Rambo - Archie has a GTE but i'm sure its not Kimis. Archies is starlight black and Kimis was the only 1 in carbon fibre, though it is owned by somebody in Edinburgh East . Archie has Star Wars logos on his and Kimis is signed by Kimi.

Hamilton is sort of south go Glasgow so would be classified as West to Edunbuggers and sheepshaggers from Perth and Aberdeen.

You're right Scott. Big Erch has the Darth Vadar GTE and Alan Macpherson has Kimi's car as I've seen it in the flesh at Blowness. Lots of C/F as you say.

Will you use Park's for the Elise or still go over to Craig's in Edinbuggerland ?

McPherson - he's the guy, couldn't remember his name. Archies is painted fibreglass and Kimis was a one off all carbon job. Imagine the spares availability for panels

I doubt if Parks will now the first thing about K series S2s, i'll be still be using Craig as he knows them inside out.

He's still doing well, despite being in a very slow car these days. No points and I doubt very much he'll get a single point for fastest lap Stick him in a good car though and I reckon he's still one of the best
