M100 rear light covers_ 2nd Group Buy

Postby M100TURBOFR » Mon 04.01.2021, 11:57

Hello
In response to eight (8) potential buyers who have requested that I start a 2nd Group Buy for the above rear light covers, I herewith wish to first of all gauge interest in order to begin organising our new Group Buy. In theory, prices remain unchanged - even for the Post-Brexit UK buyers (no customs duties/taxes) - naturally to be confirmed once sufficient numbers have been reached.

The potential buyers are Matt Dovey, Madbilly (France), Benedict90 (Austria), Wedig (Bottesford), Alistair Hemphill (UK), Robert Verhey (Australia), David Amdor, and Paul Rich. Please reconfirm your interest.

The cost for a pair (or single unit (RH/LH)) of rear light covers is 480€ per pair and 250€ per single unit (RH/LH) plus carriage and insurance for the different countries.

Cost of shipping to America & Canada amounts to 56€, insurance - covering the total value of the goods – included. i.e. 480 + 56 = 536€. Therefore delivery of goods to you will cost 536€ in total.

United Kingdom
The transport cost for shipping 1 single unit (RH or LH) to the UK will be 25,50€ + 12€ for insurance covering the value of the goods, i.e. 37,50€ in total giving a total cost of 287,50€ (250 + 37,50)

The transport cost for shipping 1 pair to the UK will be 25,50€ + 12€ for insurance covering the value of the goods, i.e. 37,50€ in total which gives a total cost of 517,50€ (480 + 37,50)

France/ Europe
Delivery of 1 pair of covers would cost 10,20€. Therefore a total cost of 490,20€ (480+10,20) - (insurance to be added).

Note: Delivery cost and insurance are the same whether a single unit or a pair

Other practical details will be given once we get to a final purchace commitment stage.

If interested, please add your name to the list and we'll go from there. Please state whether a pair is required or just a RH or LH cover:

2nd Group Buy:

N° 1

N° 1 Robert Verhey
N° 2 David Amdor
N° 3 Benedict90, pair
N° 4 Tim Haskins
N° 5 madbilly, pair, tentative unconfirmed interest.

Please can you confirm the prices? Easier to do it in the first post than just saying they're unchanged and left to us to find the relevant thread and price.

Cheers :)

Hi David,

Thanks for clarifying the prices.

I think unfortunately that we may now have to also add VAT on import to the UK, TBC.

Cheers :)

Hi David,

I agree it's not very clear at the moment, but the often reported "tarif-free trade deal" doesn't mean that VAT doesn't need to be paid on imports, as far as I understand. I don't know all the details or the right terminology, but I think the problem is now that France the UK aren't part of the same VAT area, so paying VAT in France doesn't mean that VAT is not due on import to the UK. However, if we could pay the supplier/manufacturer in France the price sans TVA then we can pay VAT on import to the UK and it should work out at the same price I think.

Cheers :)

Hello Update 30/01/2021
Slight development since my last post. Our supplier has just finished completing our 1st Group Buy and now wishes to honour the long outstanding order passed by the Alpine A610 V6 GTA buyer's group (it uses the same rear light covers). This will result in a delay of around 1 month before he accepts another order from our group. The Covid pandemic doesn't help matters either. So by early March I'll be requesting you to make a firm purchase commitment by making a deposit. To date we have 7 pairs (perhaps 8 with Madbilly). To Matt Dovey: Matt please confirm your requirements 1 pair? Should this delay not suit you, then you're naturally free to pull out.
While I'm on here, perhaps you could confirm which finish you require - original amber tint or clear transparent.

Still interested - Status on 30/01/2021
N° 1 Robert Verhey 1 pair
N° 2 David Amdor 1 pair

N° 6 Matt Dovey 1 pair
N° 7 Paul Ellis (Wedig) 1pair
N 8 Paul Richards 1 pair plus 1 LH unit
