Boot floor boards and carpet.

I’m missing the boot floor boards and the piece of carpet that fit over them. Does anyone have the templates that they could share please? Also does anyone know what grade/type of carpet (and colours) were used. Mine is anthracite grey in the rest of the car.

I assume marine ply is suitable for the boards and I assume someone has done all this before; I just couldn’t find it in the search.

The best thing I can suggest us to meet up with someone locally, once this CV-19 thing permits, and trace round their boot carpet onto some paper and make your own template. From memory, there is some plywood attached to the underside of the carpet as it fits in the deepest part (LHS) There are also some clips attached to the ply

As Mark says,

The only plywood is a 'square' sheet which works as a shelf in the left side of the boot well. It has 2 clips on the underside which hold the jack handle (and the always-present toolbox lives under it!).

I don't have the measurements to hand, but it is pretty standard 6 or 9mm ply.

The carpet sticks directly to this board, then fold upwards to the height of the spare wheel, then across again to get to the edge of the boot. On the parts where there is no plywood, it is backed with a layer of soundproofing.

Although it isn't a 'simple' geometric shape, building one would be very straightforward..... just use a piece of cardboard to make a template for the ply (or even just cut a piece to measurements)... sit it on the fibreglass bits which exist for that purpose, then use a piece of 10mm closed-cell foam to lay over the spare wheel. You should be able to then lay a piece of something over the whole lot (and old sheet or similar??), cut it to size, and job done.... then you have a template to transfer to a piece of carpet.

The OE carpet is the same as used to line the hood stowage area, but it doesn't really *have* to be identical - there are plenty of sellers of dark grey or black car carpet on fleabay etc

Sandwiched between the soundproofing and the carpet is a piece of 1/8" hardboard. You might still be able to buy the carpet and hardboard.

I also have a limited edition, bespoke black carpet that sits on the top of the original. It was made by the former owner and comes in handy when camping at Silverstone, CC etc....

Hi, I'm in Newbury and (apparently ) have a full set of grey carpets ( in a box I have never opened from a fellow forum member) that you can view.
I have a mustard yellow with yellow carpets that I might change, and hence why I have the grey option

Question to fellow M100 members, was yellow carpets an option?

Yes they were. And they show every stain on the planet so not very practical

But I've never seen yellow carpets in the boot

So you are suggesting you could have mustard carpet in the cabin but not in the boot. Bit embarrassing for me as I worked for Lotus at the time, never looked in the boot, more time consuming with disgruntled customers

Hi Lotusles, I believe “golden yellow “ was an additional cost extra I like them as it brightens up the cabin area .
My BRG SE has them, no stains as I cleaned them when I had them out to check and treat my outriggers and fit closed cell foam.
