Hi, I am in the process of getting some replacement gaiters madeand am looking for a little clarification.......
Is there a stitched ‘hem’where the gaiters meet the handbrake grip and gear knob or are they just turned in on themselves?
Hope that’s clear
Thanks

Can't answer your question, but have you looked on ebay?
Seem to be a lot available on there.

I have thanks, but I want them in dark red to match the carpets I’ve fitted. The only red ones I’ve found are a much lighter red.

Turned in on itself which makes it tight and a pain to put back.
Thats definite for S2 anyway.

It''s the same on the SE too. Turned in on itself rather than stitched
I hope you're not going for the complete "John Benk" approach Graaf. He was one of LEC's mor "colourful" characters c 2013

Whoa, that’s smart and has given me further ideas! Well perhaps not
No, the car’s black so I’ve decided on dark red carpets, dark red gaiters, door insets and pockets the rest is standard.
Trying for subtle.
Thanks for the responses

Do you have your existing OEM gear and handbrake gaiters Graaf ? I presume not as you would have answered your own question
If you do have them, I suggest you take them down to your leather shop for use as templates. The gear knob gaitor has a piece of square metal at the base to hold it in place so you will also need this. Although I guess if you didn't have it you could make something suitable from an old coat hanger (Blue Peter approach)
