Silly red clips under door locks

Postby Stef » Mon 18.10.2021, 14:16

Yes, most of us know how annoying this stupid fragile red plastic clips can be!

Anyway, SJ's have none in stock.

I was sure I has some spare but cannot find them, until I won't need them probably...

Anyone kind enough to sell some spares or know where else to get some?
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Plenty on eBay, they were fitted to Holden Commodore in Australia. Search on “commodore door clips”

Probably not a good idea. I'm so ham-fisted I'd probably wreck them. At least, I have in the past. That's why I drill a small hole in mine and remove them with a small screw and pliers

Good luck finding the silly red clips in Australia, especially at an acceptable price.

Also see my now updated posting from Nov-20 (when I thought that the red clips were orange!):

As a counterpoint to Stef’s “Men are like a fine wine”…
Women see something they like in a piece of coal* so they polish and polish it to find the diamond within, but then don’t like what they found and discard it. All the while the man has been constantly changing just to keep her happy, only to find himself baffled, alone and broke.

* Talking of coal – Post COP-26
Our illustrious PM, PinocchioScoMo likes coal. He once waved it about in parliament (coal that is). He went to Glasgow thinking that it was COP-out-26, told more of the lies and fantasies that got him into power here, returned home and blatantly told us how well it all had gone. I am sorry that so many Aussies picked a follower (he is certainly not a leader) with feet of clay and no interest in the climate crisis. We might achieve a better result when he is up for re-election next year.

I once read an excellent tip on this excellent forum that I use on all the cars where i have to remove the clips:
Drill a tiny hole in the middle and cut an M4 thread in it. Then when you insert a (long) M4 bolt, the clip comes off without further damage :D
If you always do what you always did, you always get what you always got
