We have a change of date for 2022 because the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations has meant that the traditional late Spring Bank Holiday on the last weekend of May has been moved to the first weekend in June. This has disrupted the British motor racing calendar and consequently Castle Combe have been forced to re-schedule their own events calendar. We have therefore had to move our annual trackday to Saturday April 30th although everything else will remain as usual.
Our annual May Bank Holiday track day at Castle Combe is always one of our most enjoyable events of the year. It’s a great Club Lotus day out as well as a brilliant value and safe track day exclusively for Lotus cars.
Who will be going do we need to start a list ?.

I did ask Alan a while ago what the effect of the Jubilee would have on the date - and at that time, it was all up in the air.
Last day of April is a bit of a bugger - I'll have to pay for a months tax for just a day of use..... still, never mind, eh.
Dave
Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Just put a note on the windscreen tax in the post

With the TAX and being a bit colder it may reduce the numbers a lot.

It also conflicts with the Club Lotus track day at Goodwood which I have entered. First CC event I've missed for a long while.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

The Goodwood one was booked first by a Surrey member who has organised it for the past 30 odd years!! Apparently because of the Jubilee CC could only offer the same date. I'm a bit miffed as CC is a really good day and the only thing that the club does organise.
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Those dates are madness. It's the same w/e as the Donington Classics too
And as it has a knock on effect throughout the year the F1 event has shifted at Silverstone which means the Silverstone Classics has also had to move dates

So, I won't be going either

Moving Silverstone may not be a bad thing. The GP was on a really hot weekend thins year but it poured down each morning for the classics & didn't warm up very much on any afternoon.

That’s disappointing.
I was going to suggest a list of those that can’t go too!

It's certainly going to be a bit thin on the ground at The Spice Merchant. Some of the main curry stalwarts won't be there
