Hood Cap / Cover Recommendations?

I’ll need to keep my car outside for a few months again this summer, last year I kept the cover on it most of the time but it’s a pain, just wondered if anyone has used a hood cape and could advise which one they seem to vary from about £15 upwards. Thanks

I use a hood cape all year round. It's the WillB version which, I believe, is no longer available? I also have the one off RayD version which is a better option for the summer months

Sorry I can't be more helpful on where to source one but they do work very well. But probably not the £15 version

Great fit, fast to put on and take off, and covers the hood completely. Customer service from Classic Additions is always great.

I think the Classic Additions one for me, I had pretty much decided on that one, thanks to Dave for endorsing it.I will order one later. I didn’t get around to checking if the WB one is available - it does sound like that’s the one for all year use.

That hood cape looks quite flimsy compared to mine. The "WillB" one us made of heavy duty synthetic material with 10 large suckers and 2 clip ties for round the mirrors. It us still waterproof after 17 years, albeit I now need to replace the suckers. A cheap fix off EBay

Next winter I will be making a new one from scratch and will cost it up. If it is commercially viable I may start a group buy

Yes a group buy would be a good idea.
I normally keep my car in a nice garage but I take it to my sons place for a few months in the spring and summer, and we’ve not built his garage as yet. Was thinking about a car tent but his Mrs won’t hear of it !!! Hopefully the classic additions one it’ll will be good enough to save the drips on the seats after heavy rain that I got last year a few times. The full cover is a pain as it’s not good if the wind gets up.
I stripped the interior carpets and deadeners over the winter mainly to check the jacking points and out riggers which thankfully are pretty much perfect. Re waxoyled the whole lot.

I just use a cheepo one.
Just cut holes ( reinforce) to slip over the wing mirrors.
Also useful to cover with top down if left with a possibility of rain

Got my Classic Additions cover and tried it today - looks ok, I feel it’s a bit pricey for what it is IMHO but I think about 6 - 8 of strategically placed suckers will make it really good. I’ll do that report back and I’ll do a hose spray test.
