How to remove the gearstick knob

Stupid question but found nothing obvious yet so asking the question.

Want to remove the gearstick knob as the leather on it needs replacing.
Trouble is I’m having difficulty finding what or how the gearstick knob is attached to the gearstick
The gaiter comes right up to the base so making it difficult to see if there’s a grub screw or similar holding it in place or is it an unscrew the whole knob off the gearstick top?

By the way anyone have typical prices for getting the know re leathered?

You will need to push the gaiter down from the ridged part of the knob, and that will expose a small grub screw (if you have good eyesight!). It is an allen key fitting, and once it is undone, the knob will screw off in a usual anti-clockwise way.
