Parts x ref for 5th gear input/output nut A100F6201S

Hi everyone
My M100 recently had the issue of the 5th gear input nut loosening itself from the primary input shaft.
While I go about the repairs I see the 32mm nuts A100F6201S have been obsolete for many years.

I am in the UK so I was wondering is there a uk parts alternative ?
I am aware of the GM equivalent #94124014 available on ebay USA but the postage costs etc make it very expensive.

I have tried vauxhall /opel search but nothing shows.

So just wondering if anyone had found a UK parts equivalent I could try first?

are you unable to put it back with some threadlock ?

im assuming this is the same nut you mentioned on a different post that was very loose but not completely free ?

Hi I wasn't sure if it would be safe to do so especially since it came off away from the 'peen bit' that was previously stopping it from unwinding?

The inside of the thread looks OK overall..so I guess in principle it could be torqued up and and peen against a new section of the nut...but not sure if it would weaken the nut even more by this approach?

im not sure if its meant to go back in or not, but loosening up overtime should be handled with threadlock. IF threadlock can be problematic on the gearbox, thats something i wouldnt know.

is this nut a nyloc by any chance ?
its very rare to find nuts and bolts that are exclusively sized to a car.

generally speaking. fasteners have a thread pitch and a girth, then theres imperial sizes and metric.
Being a isuzu id assume metric sizes to be in order. your nut is probably a "M" girth with either stndard pitch, fine or extra fine pitch.

ive never taken apart a gearbox, only removed them whole to replace clutches in the past. so im deifnitely out of my depth trying to help you tbh

Threadlock wouldn't be suitable for this case, first, it will be in an 'oily' environment, and it needs a clean thread to work. Second, getting the torque correct relies on the calculations done 'dry', 'oily' or whatever other medium is on the thread (threadlock).

Re-using the nut shouldn't present a problem, the only issue being if the notch on the shaft will align with a part of the nut which isn't damaged, enough to peen it over.

I can't remember what the nut looks like (I only saw mine many years ago, and took little notice), but I can't see that it would be a hard part to locate.

I am nowhere close to the UK, but my inventory says I have 10 of A100F6201S available.

This is the nut for the rear of the 5th gear.

Maybe several of the UK owners would like to order a few together so the postage per part isn't so stupidly expensive?
Owners from other areas are also welcome to "share / split" an order to a local address.

I have over 1,000 part numbers on the spreadsheet that will need to be sold soon as my health isn't working in my favor.
I am happy to physically check the shelves to make sure I have the part you need. (I sometimes forget to reduce the inventory count after selling a part)
