Retrim nearly finished. New seat covers and black carpet make a big difference.

That is very smart, really updates the look of the standard seats, you must be well pleased!

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Thank you all. Yes, well pleased; poorer but pleased.
The carpet was the interesting bit. As you know, the original is moulded and cannot be obtained. So I made a template of each floor pan and sent it to Coverdale who made the two pieces and bound the edges. The sides then have to be made from flat bits off the roll. Not difficult. A few darts here and there and some glue. I use Trimfix which has never let me down. For the doors I used the old as a template and cut new from the roll.
For the bits behind the seats, B posts, rear bulkhead, and speaker boxes, I cleaned the old stuff and then dyed it black. I used a black dye from Autoglym. A good result and it all looks uniform throughout.
The passenger seat front inner bolt into the captive nut was a real pain. There is always one.
I am glad it meets with approval. I do not have an issue with the style of the seats and did not go for the usual alternatives.
