New Front rubber lip and fixings

Probably worth mentioning that my S2 did not have 'boomerang pieces' and I'm fairly sure it left the factory like that. Well, judging by the rust.

From what i understand they dropped this plastic boomerang pieces on the S2.

No, none whatsoever.

In the quest for authenticity (?) I'm not adding them.

I think that they were dropped a long time before the S2. Just extra parts, expense, time, for a little gain.

Good afternoon, it has been many years since I was here, my Elan sadly left this planet some years back after a rear wishbone failed the day before I was going to do a precautionary reaplcement with some S2's.
Anyway I digress, I have found some spares including a brand new original front rubber lip which I purchased from SJ sportscars but sadly nevery fitted.
Any interest please do get in touch. I also have a cross gate gear cable.

Any ideas how to get the rusty screws out if they really don't want to budge or the heads are rusted out ?

Unfortunately no access to a hoist and laying on the ground with an angle grinder near my face ain't going to be fun !!

Unfortunately for you, the only way I do it is the 'no fun' method you have identified.....

.... it is far less worrying if you wear a hoody, decent safety goggles (or preferably a full-face visor).

try a dremel with a cutoff wheel. its a lot more manageable and less dangerous.

Well, taking the bumper off will open a whole new load of 'project creep'..... you'll remove the grilles (stuck in with about 6 tubes of sikaflex on mine!), replace them with a nice piece of aluminium mesh, decide that the towing bracket looks a bit crusty, so whilst you're there you want to remove, restore and replace it..... but it is certainly the best way to do the job properly!
