We've just got back from our extended stay at Castle Combe, it took us 2hr 20 apposed to 4hr 10 to get there
Leaving at 7pm meant it would be so much quieter on the roads, which proved to be the case.
The car performed faultlessly over the week, and was just perfect on all those little country roads

It was even pretty good at keeping the rain out
During the week, the weather did its best to dampen our spirts, but we still managed to explore the local area with a good degree of success.
Just a few highlights of our week (apart from the obvious weekend to start it

).
All the years we've been to the track, but didn't take the time to walk through the village.

You just can't get away from them

Who doesn't like a castle ? this place was amazing !

The Chedder gorge, to be honest, as a drive, for me, a tad underwhelming.
As you can see we also did the cliff top walk, which was good, but your knees will not thank you for it.

Yet another historic building, Dyrham House
