Well versed with VPN Matt but this is much more than losing pictures on a car forum for us in the UK, not going turn it into a political debate on here as it's not the place, but the scenario with Imgur is just the very
thin edge of the wedge.

Ok, dug some more in the fuel system today. Could not get a picture down inside the intake with the cheap amazon borescope, so tried just seeing how much fuel was coming out at the rail. Pulled the injectors and made a little tray from an old motor oil container.

Does this seem like enough to create 40psi inside that rail?

Pulled the hose off right at the tank and ran the pump again and captured about the same amount.

Detached the fuel hose connection behind the intake and then used an airline to blow out both the fuel rail (with injectors still removed) and then the hose from the tank up to the intake connection.

Then I pulled the fuel pump out and found this split in the hose at the pump.

Took trips to both autoparts places near my house to find some 5/16" fuel hose, and by the time I got back, the light was gone, so will have to wait until tomorrow to see if this is finally the problem.

Sounds like my lifters lost some oil after a year sitting around. Hopefully they will pump up on their own.
Now on to putting everything else back on the car

i havent been looking at the forum lately but well done on the fuel pipe split.

years ago i had a somewhat similar situation where after re-installing the fuel tank i didnt tighten the fuel pipe jubilee clip enough and it worked itself loose. there was some fuel going in, enought to start the car eventually but not to keep it idel unless i removed the MAP sensor introducing a vacum leak

your situation is very similar same. but with rather drastically different simptoms
