Main Dash Removal - not centre console - SOLVED

Good morning, bit stuck on the removal of the main dash. Have found the bolts that fit either side at the height of the A Pillar body panel, the one to the right of the glovebox fitting to the round cross member, and the screws just fore of the gearstick.

Now had a look in the engine bay, and a good feel but it almost feels like the leading edge of the dash is bonded to the bottom of the screen. Have I missed something really obvious?

EDIT: Now solved, the screen vents actually hold the dash in place.

Glad to hear. Now if you have a Fed one, we have a bolster under the steering wheel. To keep you from sliding under the wheel in a front collision. Any idea on how to remove it, so I can get the center switch portion of the dash out? I want to add a new switch, to fill in those blanks.

In one of the service manuals, the SIR one here, it has info on the knee bolster. It's got two threaded rods that go straight back and are held in by a nut. I think it is an 10mm socket or wrench you will need, and it is a very deep threaded rod, so it takes forever with a wrench. There is a reason I've never threaded the nuts back on mine

But for some tips on the actual goal you are trying to achieve, you can access the blanks via the glovebox side (just loosen the glovebox stopper, or you might be able to flex it so it falls past). You can then push out the cigarette ashtray holder from the back (you need to pull the ashtray out first I think) and that will give you an extra access point. You can then push out the blanks as well from the back.
