LUG 2026 - SLC, USA - Recap

Postby TorqueHorse » Tue 20.10.2026, 19:03

The first ever "Lotus United Gathering" was held in Salt Lake City, Utah at the end of last month. It combined the annual "regional" events that GGLC and Lotus Ltd. usually put on into one big national event. Attendance was great, the roads were phenomenal, and friendships were formed or rekindled...oh, and the cars were good too  . The Elans were well represented by some "LUGnuts" that have a profile on this forum (Steve Brightman, Algirdas, me), as well as some others that may not. Five of them came from Colorado, and I took the long distance with 4.400 miles from home and back (Texas). While next year will be back to regular programming for the clubs, I think everyone who attended will agree that another national event like this needs to happen.

Joao,
Clearly you have never ridden a Harley through some of the brilliant roads across the State....... I used to think there was very little there, now I know they are just keeping it all a secret!!!!
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
