That run, sounds good to me, but i`ll be taking it easy as i`m not happy with the ride height of the Pink beast and hitting a barrier doesn`t help :D

We always have people going at differing paces and my Elan used to keep up without too much trouble, especially when the road got a bit bumpy !!

I've always found the food at the Ladybarn ok. Did you say soemthing toupset the chef ?? ;D

Being as local to these parts, I can think of quite a few alternative pubs in the area (some good - some bad), however as the weather improves I can see their car parks filling up on sunny Sunday afternoons.

A pub with good food and a large car park might be tricky to find.

There's The John Mile, just round the corner from the Ladybarn - it has a large car park but I suspect the food's no better.

There's The Moorcock on Blackstone Edge Road; the will definately be better (and dearer) but it's carpark is usually pretty full.

I agree with Dico that we shouldn't upset NORLOG boys by attempting to change the venue on them.
Probably a hearty breakfast and and a packet of crisps at the bar is the answer. In fact there's usually a burger van if you come back along Todmorden Road anyone hungry could stop off for a burger before returning to the Ladybarn. ;)

We only chose the Ladybarn as its easy to find and has a large car park.

Never had any problems with teh food tbh, but always welcome to suggestions for a change of venue. We only meet there once every 4 months so its not crucial, but the criteria are, large car park, food, easy to find and close to decent roads.

Any suggestions tomorrow will be welcome !!

I don't wish to stir up any dissent withing the ranks - I don't even own a Lotus yet! ;)

How about we plan a little fact-finding tour of local pubs to see if there is anything more suitable?

It's a good excuse for a drive (or a pub crawl

Me too! (had a good time that is

)

I'll try and post my pics up tomorrow - off to the pub now. ;D

Oh and I found out what the mystery noise was Monty. It was the TVR slowly undoing it's rear silencer bolts with the half-shaft.
Don't ask me how ??? but by the time I got home the front and rear halfs of the exhaust were completely separated.

Still it's an easy fix and that run certainly was a good shake down for the car (shake being the operative word!

)

I know its short notice, but if any of you guys fancy a meet tomorrow (Weds night) there is a sportscar meet at a pub in Bolton called The Watermillock from about 7.30pm.

Although there's usually a load of Lotuses there, we also get Porsches, Ultimas, Nobles and Lambos.

Good for a pint and a chat and another excuse to get out.
