They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Paul,

We're between you and Sy. We could meet you somewhere before or at Simons.

I've not really looked into this yet but I'm guessing it'll be a run down the M5.

Rob

I think our chances of getting on to the track are slim (to say the least).
Slots were supposed to have been booked in advance @ £67.50 each. As of this morning they had no places left, but they did suggest coming along in the hope of picking up a late cancellation.
Enrolling for the track starts at 8am with the first cars out at 9am. There's a break for lunch and the course closes at 5pm.
They have the usual Club Lotus stall and a "few" trade stalls.
What do you think?

P.S. Booked myself an M100 autojumble pitch for Stoneleigh though...Nothing like getting ahead!

Admission to the event itself (without track access) is free BTW.

Club Lotus have just phoned and offered us one slot on the track £67.50 as before - they'll reserve it until tomorrow evening for us.

If any of the West Mids lot want it, give me a bell at work (01923-832924 - Office Hours) or on my mobile this evening.

[smiley=goodposting.gif]

If I don't hear anything from you, I'll offer it up to the rest of the board, tomorrow.

Rich,

Strange you mentioned the weather. I just came here to ask if any of the board gods could pull any favours upstairs - the forecast at present doesn't look great!

I've been booked in for this one for while so looks like I'll see some of you at least! Crash Helmets are required but they usually have a few to lend out or you can buy a proper race spec one from Merlin Autosport on site - if your ever likely need one!

If you can't get onto the track in your own car, sometimes you can blag a ride with someone else providing that you have are wearing something with long sleeves and long trousers - they won't let you on the track in short sleeved shirts and/or shorts!

Richard

Re - Meeting Up

If Sy doesn't mind :-/ we could meet at his place and go from there. If we need a venue further south, we could do the services just above J8 of the M5.

As we are not going on the track, was not thinking of getting there until 10am ish, unless others have a strong opinion. That way, not to early out of bed, but don't miss any of the action

I guess that means meeting at Sy's at 08:45 ish, or the services just after 9am.

Any further suggestions?

Humpho
