I havent scaned a dyno chart with the AFR plotted but I will do so and post it asap.

Yes, a BB Turbo will minimize lag but when the BB turbine is much bigger than the stock one like mine (IHI VF34), then you dont earn that result.

PS. When you go from the town of Fira to Ia and see the road-like, imagine it driven with an Elan.

I went a couple of years ago - and remember the road well :)

however - we have our own great bit of tarmac - minutes from my home!

offically the most dangerous stretch of tarmac in the country, 3 deaths this year (all bikers) - but it really is great fun to ride/drive

The NORLOG lads used that route alot, but it has 50mph limit with plenty of cameras and plenty of Plod`s so they have other runs now.

there's no fixed cameras monty - just moneymaker, sorry I mean 'safety' camera vans - and there's only 3 spots where they set up, so they're not a problem. It's the unmarked cars, unmarked motorbikes and the spotter plane that catch you out....

We even went up there at 7.30am for a good scratchin session on the bikes, and the camera van was already set up!!!

Last night raced an M3, first run I was like 50feet ahead on 3rd gear then he quit. 2nd run and while hard shifting from 1st to second I broke the shifting cable( must be like 3rd or 4th time in 2 years). First thing this morning replaced it and all is good again.

I ll try to explain what Greg told me today.

We have placed a by-pass chip over the stock ono in the ECU. The car worls like stock until 0.7bar and then the bypass chip interupts and keeps it going, thats were remapping occurs.

Dico, you ve missed some deleted posts who were agressive towards me. I said that, in case i only had to drive within legal speed limits all the time. Thats 40miles/hour in Athens and 75miles per hour on highway and considering there is no proper racing circuit in the Athens area (we are like a 3rd world country on that area).

we are like a 3rd world country on that area

Know the feeling moving from Stratford-upon-Avon, England to Washington D.C. US of A, speedlimits down to 25mph in suburban, 55-60mph on interstate in the area, and lots more police in weird cars with ram bars fitted, potholes like you wouldn't believe, and no track in the area that'll take me sans-rollbar :x

So I, for one, am looking forward to the next video installment!

The blue vaccum line going into the top of the FPR identifies it as a "rising-rate" FPR. This means it is sensing the air pressure in the intake manifold and increases the fuel pressure as the pressure of the intake air goes up. This is a very common way of increasing fuel delivery when under boost. My Maserati used this same method. As this method is not controlled by the ECU it was used on earlier turbo cars and is also currently used on many turbo kits installed on NA cars. Not to say there is anything wrong with it, but it does have to be set up to run a little richer mixture when under boost to be on the safe side.

Costas,

Okay, let's get this out of the way right now. I'm lazy and got tired of looking through every posting on the thread.

I have a question regarding your 325 HP. At what psi was that achieved?I'm assuming that that is is not WHP.

At 1.5bar Boost Pressure is your answer, and its BHP without the aid of NOS of course.
The NOS shot is adjusted at an additional 75hp shot, but to be honest with you I dont really need it, the car is unbelievably (SCARY is the correct word) fast anyways.

I have installed a solinoid (sp?) with 2 settings which is operated through the A/C button (yes I got rid of A/C!). The 2 settings have a standard difference-gap of about 0.35bar which is translated to 40+hp. The small pressure is adjusted through the pressure valve and when I press the A/C button I get the big pressure, simple as that.

So to sum it up, I get 286bhp at 1.15bar ( I posted the video of it) and 325bhp at 1.50bar pressure. It will all be on the Sh4rks presentation by FasteR tuning Magazine.

That presentation was scheduled to be done for the issue of August but the sudden loss of my mother, kinda turned to loss of interest for such a thing from my part, and postponed it for a couple of months.

I am sorry but I am not allowed to post any more data or diagrams or pictures until the magazine is issued. That I have promised to them.

Costas

PS I am off to Libya for business for the next couple of weeks....

My car is scheduled in the shop (320 miles away "at home"!) Monday to shamelessly rip-off Costas's dual-purge idea. They have the miles of stainless purge line in stock to do the job now, which I requested.

I am finally at the point where in the last week I am no longer slowed by my back injury/surgery. Not to say I am 100% but nerve tissue takes a relatively long time to heal/regrow. For now though I can do all I could before by simply gritting my teeth and realizing I am in "rehab." At least now I feel that I am in control depending on how hard I want to work... and I am no stranger to that.

I will actually be in JAX for 3 very, very busy days which I am greatly looking forward too. Even though much of it is truly work, I have been away for longer than ever before, and seeing old places & faces raises my spirits!

Always a Florida boy, no matter where I am, Matt

Just got back from Libya, feeling much better now that I've met with my Father.

Doc, No the magazine is not sold in the USA. Nevertheless, I shall scan all pages in high resolution and provide all the translation of the text. If all things go well, it will be on next issue, published at the end of September.

Richard, my manners dont allow me to tell you what Hakim replied to you! :P

Nitroman, I am very happy you do the same purge lines because I am telling you out of my own experience its awesome to view and it scares 75% of challengers away  have to warn you though that it takes A LOT of adjustments to find identical possition so as they work as well while the lights are popped up.
Here it is, the small video of my purges, for those who havent seen it allready.

We (my car & I) soundly whipped a Porsche Boxster S time & again on the way back to Atlanta, once going to the high side of 130. I should have installed a nitrous purge long ago. Turns out there is a reason for that big nitrous plume on the staging line at the drag-strip-tree! No stumbling, no bumbling... just pure liquid nitrous power precisely metered to each cylinder! I let the poor frustrated "Porsche-boy" go once we hit Atlanta traffic. He is probably at the Ferrari dealer ordering their most expensive car right now and mortgaging his house. Fools & their money (are soon parted).

It really is night & day a different car with 100 extra HP on tap. You need to choose your opening wisely Obi-wan FAR down the road as you will be going from 70 to 120 in what feels like 2 1/2 seconds! The Porsche? Still where he was when you mashed the gas. So you wait, give him 20 to 30 seconds to catch up, and simply repeat the process. The poor boy's mind just cannot process what has happened. He has to prove he CAN pass you.

Thanks again Brian, for the binders that make this sort of thing safely possible.

Costas, are those stock S2 wheels painted black (I think so) or did you source some aftermarket ones?
