Went to open the bonnet, pulled the lever and...nothing. Can't see/feel if its still attached to the cable or not, or if it's gone somewhere else.
So the question is, is there an easy way to open the bonnet other than with the release lever. If not, how does one get the bonnet open.

Is the handle still stiff, or does it feel like the cable has snapped?
If it still feels like you are trying to pull something, then ask an assitant to wiggle the the bonnet using the various panel gaps whilst you pull the lever. It might just pop. If this is the case, you then need to realign the bonnet by loosening the bolts that secure it to the hinge brackets to allow future access.
I'm not sure how to get in without the cable in place though. Sounds like it might be another Golum job from underneath!
Good luck,
Candles.

Candles
Cheers mate. Managed to get it open with a bit of wiggling. Apears that the bonnet wasn't quite aligned properly. Have adjusted it and seems to be OK for now.
Thanks....

Jim,
hmm, strange. How could the bonnet suddenly have become misaligned? Have you been over any hump-back bridges recently?
