Oh... I'm also here...

That car is just...........

How long do you think the engine will last, :?: :?: ....
.... and as others, I'm also concerned about the drivetrain.

But keep up the good work. we all look forward to new posts from you.

Time will tell. On my part I shall do anything needed to last forever (I got 1 spare engine ready to go and a donor car)

Nevertheless, Keep in mind I am "hard" driving the car on daily basis, not just on weekends or on track once per 2 months.

The FasteR tuning magazine featuring Sh4rk will be published in 10 days time.

Unfortunatelly a minor problem in fuelling (just an adjustment but made me lose 0.5-1.0 sec in every gear shift) and slippery conditions tonight (we have 340 shiny days every year in Greece and tonight had to shower rain just enough to destroy grip) didnt allow great numbers. We even set the car low at 300hp but didnt help either...

just a taste
60km/h - 160km/h in 9 secs
(an EVO VIII at 420hp with good weather conditions did 8.5)

We ll have to do the Vbox measurements again soon...

wow .... and how do you keep all the traction needed to harness the vast power? how does the car cope ? does it handle and control just as well? i get pretty worried and i try to launch the car at full acceleration and do them steep corners even with the lsd..

having said that, i am utterly impressed. great work there! can only dream of it here. keeps giving me the reason to still hang onto the elan.

thanks!
at last...

I cant handle that power (437hp+) ... simply as that.

I tried for a bit driving it at 1.6 with NOS, thats way over 400hp, and even on straight line I was trying very hard to keep it going ...... straight! After 10 minutes of such driving I was like I did weightlifting at gym. So other than a engineering achievement or a drugster use, its useless at such extreme hp.

I ve set it up now at 1.4bar boost pressure, thats about 320-330hp without NOS and the car is at its best perfomance.

Launching needs practise but it works at 4200-4300rpm, Smoothly on acceleration and when it goes at 6000rpm press the pedal to the medal. If the road surface is slippery or of bad quality, all you are gonna get is spinning even on 4th gear no matter wat you do. The best fun is accelerating while driving at 100miles/hour, cant be described, test it at Donington next year yourself ;)

Turning is still enjoyable and dare I say, even better!

One big dissadvantage though, you cant afford to drop below 3000rpm if you want to move at fast competitive pace.

I am very dissapointed of the data we got though since the road was extremely slippery (shower rain, high humidity, dirty road) and Sh4rk couldnt perform no matter what, but since the magazine had him as main feature we couldnt postpone it and try again. I was promised another run on a dry day...

Last night a friend of mine had the idea to videorecord how the car accelerates from 150km/h to 250km/h since its phenomenal. Will do so this week... stay tuned ;)

Notice that it is the black/silver one exactly like mine; not the black/gold one like on the JPS Elan being put together... in case that makes any difference to you. Personally, having seen the black/gold one... I wish I had that one instead.

Looks like CN's haven't implemented the price hike yet then.

Nice one.

CN were out of stock when I called today but quoted this price + 3 days delivery. Be careful tho' I have seen these badges with the naff 'Peter Wickens era' font and elipticalish :? shape. At least I think it was he who butchered it.
