Time to replace the clutch?

I have been having trouble shifting down from 4th to 3rd and occasionally from 3rd to 2nd. There is a slight grinding when doing this particularly when the vehicle is warm. I always back off when I feel it and let the rpms drop until I can shift without the "grind". Is this symptomatic of a clutch failing or synchronizer or...? Thanks in advance.

Is the clutch hi on the pedal? U can adjust the clutch but i haven`t done this yet U could also be having trouble with u`r gear cables, have a look under the bonnet to see if the cables are ok, they seem to go were the plastic meets the metal bracket

Thanks Monty. I'll check the cables...What is meant by "high on the pedal"?

When u lift of the clutch (in gear) is the pedal high when clutch bites, hopefully it might just need adjustment, if u`r clutch was on it`s way out u would imagine the 1st signs would be slipping
