Gemini alarm keys

Hi lads
Have a problem lost or never had the key that turns off the Gemini
alarm system, can not take the battery out with out the neighour
knowing, do I have to have a new barrel or with all the car information
can I have keys cut ?

A new barrel is the easy solution.
Wrap the siren in an old towel for removal.
Open it ip, and turn it off.
Order new barrel from Gemini ( there are several model )

My battery has started draining overnight - and this morning when I re-connected a fully charged battery, I got a constant horn/alarm which I can't get rid of without disconnecting said battery.
Is this the Gemini system? If so is it connected to the ignition cut-out, and where is it located?
Can I disconnect the horn and still drive the car (as far as a competent mechanic)?

As I'm currently doing a crap impression of Quasimodo, I need the simplest possible fix; someone even less clued up will have to crawl underneath, if necessary.

I believe I'm correct in saying that Gemini Alarms are only standard fit on S2s. Most SEs and N/As that I've seen have a laserline alarm as standard fit (I'm sure there are variations on this but I've not seen them). Check what alarm you have fitted. When the siren sounds on battery connection/disconnect on the S2 (Gemini) I use the alarm Key to silence it and the key fob/key to reset it. On the N/A (Laserline) I just lock and unlock with the key fob or use the little plug thingy on the dash. What alarm do you have? Most alarms have their own internal battery designed to sound the horn if the vehicle battery is tampered with, but from your description of the symptoms you appear to have a different problem. Do the alarm keys/Key fob not reset it?

The only alarm-related gizmo supplied with the car was the little semi-circular black key which appears just to short out two contacts on the dash; it doesn't stop the horn blaring.

There is a window sticker for a Scorpion alarm, which I'd assumed was an after-market addition - but on investigation, there's a multi-wire harness under the bonnet for which the male and female plugs are not connected; this suggests a previous malfunction which someone has 'fixed' by disabling it. I'll try drying out everything in sight, tape it up and see what happens. (My ex-'s hairdryer has sorted so many electrical problems on various cars, I've lost count; does get you strange looks from passers-by, though.)

On the KISS principle, is the horn easy to get at - can I get someone to pull one of the wires?
