Think my Beast is going to be off the road, so trying to cadge a lift off Monty. He's being a bit of an @rse though saying he's not sure if he's going. he just likes me to pester him i think? Gets some kind of a buzz out of it

I'll be there one way or another, gotta show you northerners how to sup!

I have just read a clause in my life insurance which says "do you partake in any dangerous sports ?"

I guess an 80-100 mph chase over 300 miles, topped by going round a roundabout 3 abreast with no-one knowing where they are going is considered "dangerous" so I have upped my cover and will hopefully be joining you.

Only when my partner suffers from myclonic jerks and I am affected with sleep apnioea. Reading the small print is so boring that it helps me get back to sleep.

I really wan't to go to Donington again this year but it depends on my Job situation. BAE are shutting their Edinburgh site in a few months so I'll be right in the middle of job hunting!
Other news - Mike rolled his elan a week before xmas :shock:

He slid down the road on the topside of the car (and his head) for a few hundred yards

I reckon he's lucky to be alive but he got away with stitches and a skin graft. Not sure what state the car is in but it can't be good.

I'm not sure who Mike is, but as a fellow Elaner I'd just like to pass on my best wishes and hope that everything is sorted out satisfactorily for him.

Mike is on the forum alright. He bought BoyNamedSu's (Alan) Azure blue S2 off him a few months ago.

Yeah, Mike bought Alan's car back in the summer. It's a shame cause it was one of the cleanest I've seen. He's gonna post some piccies once he goes to see it - I'm not sure how recoverable these cars are once they've been on there roof!
It sounds like a bit of a freak accident cause he says he wasn't going all that fast. He slid on a corner, went into the soft verge and the car flipped :shock:

The verge must have been banked as it over turned him and pushed him back onto the road.

There is what i believe to be an SE shell on ebay at the moment with some frontal damage. Very cheap.
I know Mikes is an S2 but maybe the windscreen suround/rear wings etc are the same?
Might be worth purchasing 'just in case'. We cant keep letting these cars just be written off by insurance companies, anything is repairable, well almost

Even without seeing it i'm quite sure the insurance company will write it off. However, if it was just a gentle flip it may be possible to get this rare (and getting rarer each month) and beautiful car back on the road.
They wont be making anymore you know!

Totally agree Dico, thats what started project JPS M100, although it can get very costly unless you can do the work yourself !
