The finishing touch was the artwork you did, so thanks to you too.

sounds like you were initiated and are now a true elaner. By Donny it'll be 12 packets of crisps and 2 gallons of Stella

At least the hotel is closer to the venue so there is less chance of getting nicked on Sunday morning! And more choice of lager. And more Germans. See you all there.

Make a sentence from these words Jim........"stuffed" and "get".

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.

I received a very pleasant letter from Alan Morgan Chairman of Club Lotus a week or so ago thanking us for our involvement at Stoneleigh. I'm a bit busy at present so this is the first opportunity I've had to post it, although I did tell those at the East Mids meet last week about it. The letter reads as follows.
Just a note to thank you for organising the M100 dispaly at Stoneleigh. The collection of cars was very impressive and it was a pleasure to be able to look around them and talk to so many owners.
It's never easy to get people to commit to bringing their cars out in mid November and the effort you and everybody made is much appreciated. As it turned out we were blessed with a beautiful day and hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves.
I also hope the prize giving was accepted in the right spirit as I was asked by two people afterwards what criteria I'd used to award the trophies and how they could improve their cars. I emphasised that it was not in any way a concours or 'best in show' type of competition but simply very personal choice by some Club Lotus staff of the cars they liked best. The main purpose was to recognise and say thank you to all M100's who attended and also as a bit of fun. If someone who would not normally expect to win a prize went home with a small memento of the day then all the better. Trust you agree.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
Kind regards
Alan Morgan
Chairman
The letter may have been sent to me but the thanks is to all so enjoy the accolade

...and something that you wouldn't have expected under the old CL regime.
Good on 'em.
Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, sounds caress my ears but not a word I heard could I relay, the story was quite clear - Robert PlantIn Respectful Memory - 21st March 1959 - 14th February 2016
