How to re-waterproof a hood

My hood seems to slowly be seeping water through it latley, i bit like old tents do with little beads of water forming on the inside. Is there a way to re-waterproof it. I was thinking of going t a camping shop and seeing if there was a spray of somekind that would do this. Anyone else done something similar?

Agree entirly with the use of Renovo. But also this time of year it's quite possible that it isn't leakage but condensation. This can be reduced by using dessicant packs inside the car.

Fabrisil is another option, possibly cheaper than Renovo. I used Fabrisil after applying the Renovo Soft top Reviver. This combination has given a decent result.

Was told by very reputable lotus dealer that there was no chance of water actually getting through the roof material, only the seals, unless there's a rip somewhere. I would be more inclined for it to be condensation, noticed this week, if i leave my van all day with windows shut, front screen covered in condensation !

The Rennovo stuff is good, however it might be a short-term fix if the top is deteriorating.

There are several layers to the top, the cotton underside, a rubber middle, and then the canvas-like outer shell. Apparently over time the rubber center layer breaks down. When this happens, the top can LOOK great, but will not be water tight due to cracking & dry-rot within the center.

If the problem IS damage to the middle section, there really isn't a long term fix other than repairing the top. Unfortunately, I will probably be in this boat within the next couple years, mine is getting pretty worn...ugh.
