We've decided that, as we always make this a family w/e, we'd go a little more upmarket this year.
For Friday 17th & Saturday 18th, we've booked the Family Suite here:

Melbourne Arms
92 Ashby Road
Melbourne
Derbyshire
DE73 1ES

Tel: 01332 864949
Fax: 01332 865525
info@melbournearms.co.uk

Ensuite with full english breakfast = £70 per night.
T'other rooms may be cheaper?

Yes room share is an option I'll be also looking at.

I'll possibly stay Fri and Sat night if not just the Saturday.

Will the Melborne Arms be able to tolerate us and our stickerthon? :-D

Im here Clemo love.

Hands off stevo I saw him first!!

Dave any chance of getting a bit more organised this time around, nothing like just turning up, getting pissed then asking if they have a room.

Maybe they have a triple!!
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.

I'll be going up from sussex - can meet on M1 somewhere if you like. There was quite a few of us last year coming up from the south but it looks like a lot will be going up on the friday for a feasting and boozing session (and i wish i could go :smt022)
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

Just got my confirmation that me and Liz will be booked into the melbourne arms friday and saturday nights. :-D

For those interested. If you book by phone, you need to fax or email a confirmation of your booking. A double room is £60 per night, and includes a full english in the morning. (apparently full = drunk in Norwegian, so that wont be a lie either will it Clemo)

Oh I did also request a room as far away from Mr Vickers as possible... the guy on the phone just laughed...

Usually a guarenteed way of getting the room next door

The guy I spoke to mentioned the 'Lotus Event' so I'll assume they're already getting lots of bookings.

I have booked the Melbourne Arms too, looking to stay on the Friday night only.

After being told that I can't book a single night I have reluctantly booked the 17th and 18th, so if anyone is after a room for the 18th then there is one going - double, en-suite, full breakfast - £60.

Please ignore, I have sweet-talked my very understanding wife into staying for two nights instead of just the one.

You mean that you had to promise her a weekend away, having spent next year's household kitty on you know what!
