Winscreen Washer Jets

Does anybody know where to obtain replacement windscreen washer jets? One of mine has broken and is not repairable.<br><br>Obvious choice is a trawl around the scrap yard, but any suggestions on what car to take them from - I presume that they will be standard Vauxhall parts, but not sure.<br><br>If not, does anybody know of an after market replacement that does the job any better than the originals?<br><br>Paul<br><br>

Just bumping this topic.

I used the old needle in the hole trick to re-direct my jets into a more sensible direction (like actually at MY windscreen instead of at the car's behind me!).

Unfortunately a jet had siezed in place and the needle snapped within it - doh!

So now I have 3 jets instead of 4.

Anyone...?

try the "put compressed air from the petrol station into the washer line under the bonnet and shoot the needle at some Porshe parked behind you" trick

caution: I have not personally tried this trick yet

This should be an easy to match-up "cross-reference" part. I have about four extra ones that I have saved from a couple of wrecked cars but I would think that this part would match-up with something out there.

Hmm, tried that already with my own high pressure pump - it seems well and truly stuck. But maybe if I block the other hole...

please be careful with compressed air......
one of my work coleagues many years ago died infront of me using it and Ive also seen a couple of nasty accidents using it too...
I would suggest taking the washer jet off the car if you havent already and playing with it that way.....if it still dont work then try south west lotus centre for a spare.....no point sustaining injury for the sake of something that cost a couple of quid!!!

mine window washer jet (right side) broke the oder day.. so wen i get to the mecanic (regular visit due to problems in the suspension (need new ones, by the way, witch ar best? koni or original?)) and he did'n found a fit, so he pu two new ones, bu he had to push a litle bit an to .....(the thing u do with sand paper ) and the he glued it to the hood 'cause it was pointing at the car behind me due to miss fixing! result.. i have the windscreen washers jets, but i get a glue mark around the right one too.. i was like wtf
does any one know any way to take a glue mark out of the hood? (Super cola 3 lol)

I've trawled many spares dealers but nothing comes close to the shape. Is it a GM item or do any other 'aftermarket' suppliers sell them?

Nearest bet for you is the breaker in Crewe. Try Joe Shannon on 07903 017883 and you'll probably get them both for a fiver inc P&P.

I'd already emailed Joe to see if he had any and I'm now collecting both nozzles and the small triangular shaped panel from behind the drivers interior door handle for £12.
Far cheaper than anywhere else!
