well i went and put the hood down today, and when i put it back up there was a huge gaping space where the vinyl/whatever it is, should be
i've seen it mentioned in the forum before, but does anyone know where i can source some as i cannt afford a whole new roof

its ok, i found a bloke yesterday called austintrims, he knew exactly what i was talking about and the material is only going to cost somehwere in the region of 8 quid plus P&P.
Now all i have to do is persuade some fine RAF chumms to sew it in for me on one of their gucci life raft machines, or get it done myself with some pliers and a sail needle.

oh yeah, i will get round to sorting out that fuel tank eventually, cos its looking like i'll have to sell the car, and i am seriously NOT happy about the prospect of doing that

The RAF seemstress's are called 'Safety Equipment Fitters', or squippers for short. They've done a few jobs for me too (rucsac repairs etc.), all for a few beers!
Mick, can you let me know how you get on with replacing the screen material using the supplier you mentioned, and if the squippers can do it as I'm looking to do the same, if I don't get a whole new hood that is.
