Yes its just a replacement for the Orange indicator Lenses. The others are fine anyway its that old school orange we are trying to get rid of!

The First set of Clear fronts have turned up now :-D They look great and will be on the car tonight.

Cheers

Hi Monty,

Yes the lense is seperate, it is tacked on with 4 blobs of glue! The plan is only to replace the Orange Lense as the reds still look up2date.

So do you fancy some after the first batch is sorted?

Morning All,

Final update on the front clears! Put them on last night and took a few not so great photos, but it was dark and with my camera phone!

As you can see they look great and the chrome coated bulbs look super with the clear lense. I even painted the screw heads silver as not to let it down. :P The Side lights actually look a little brighter as the lense is clearer to start with.

These are now ready for sale and sets can be ordered. Pm me with an email address and i will pass it on to the company. Im going to check first but will post up all their details once the rears are sorted so you can buy direct.

Cheers

Hi Gary,

Had a word with Lotus, but struggled to get an answer!

Im going to take them out and check but surely they are the stardard bulb as in the front and therefore is a striaght replacement.

Anyone else know the true code is welcome to shed some light?

Cheers

Front indicator bulbs are 21w 382/1156 P25-1
Rears 21w 382 P25-1

So assume they are the same, according to owner's handbook.

Stop lamps should be the same as our brake lights (I think).

Paul, they DO look pretty good, and it could be good to match them with my clear side ones. Also one of my lenses is definitely cracked. But I feel as though I need to see them "in the flesh" to be sure. I just like indicators to be orange! :?

If you are taking a few sets to Donington then that will probably be the ideal time. And at least then if I don't purchase a set, someone else probably will.

Hi,

Please dont take this the wrong way, but if am reading your post right, your like the clears (thank you) but need to see them in the flesh and then may not buy any?

Did you see the side indicators "in the flesh" before buying them?

I think theres a few options here:

1) Keep the original ones with one being cracked.
2) Replace the cracked one with a new original.
3) Buy a set off this company i got mine from.
4) Buy a set from the company in Sweden.

lol good luck mate

Cheers

Hi All,

Regarding the Front Clear Lenses, the company is also happy to sell singles as well a sets, so if either you have purchased a set from them or Sweden you wont have to buy 2 if one gets cracked.

Thanks to Sy and Gazza for the bulb info, im taking it that we will be fine for replacement grange bulbs.

Cheers

Good Morning,

I managed to remove the Rear Light Assy's and then remove the Orange Lenses. Just a word of warning, 2 of the other Lenses has already broken loose, so im going to sort them out and give the lot a good clean. It might be worth checking yours although it is a big job if your not replacing the Lenses.

As you can see in the photo, they aren't as angled as we feared before, so hopefully this will make moulding them easier to do.

Im sending them off today and all being well the 3 new clear sets should be ready for the middle of next week!

I cant wait to see the rear light Assy without the Orange Lens! I think it will look even better on Dark coloured cars.

Cheers

Paul, thanks for all the effort with these lenses. Would it be possible to make the outer smoked lense on the rear lights as 9 times out of 10, its these that get broken & not the light unit itself, & yet they are not available. I already know of a few guy's who would be very interested in a couple of these, me included !

Morning Paul,

Ive spoken to the company a few times now, and a futher chat this weekend. There is no way they will be making the outer cover just because the mould will be too big and the costs will be too great compared to buying a new assy.

The Clear Lenses are being produced today, so should get them mid week on on by Thursday!

Cheers

Must say i'm not doubting your word Paul, but as its mainly just flat plastic without all the dimples etc that the actual lenses have, i would have thought it would of been a lot easier to make a mould for these, than the lenses, but if there not interested, then so be it !
