I can make any time in August. The 'Oldtimer Granprix' looks good with chance of going on the ring as well. Camping to keep costs down. Really got to have numbers and a date, no. of days etc.

For those that will be there, we can discuss at Donington if you like.

I am in all the way, will do everything needed to join you guys at the Ring whenever you arrange it. Besides, after the trip to Dony, the Ring is just around the corner...!

I have to say though that I have to enter and drive the Ring and not just visit it. To see a naked woman is one thing, having sex with her is another...

Here is the information I have from Delta.

I also have a map of the ring and campsite locations.

Please excuse me if I get anything wrong or missed out. Does somebody want these bits of info back?

Anyhow, on August 11 the famous 'Oldtimer GP takes place at the Nurburgrin with Lotus Club Denmark being welcomed with a dedicted campsite. Site 60-1 has been reserved well situated on a good corner of the track.

Camping fees, and I have to apologise in the use of Euro's here, 11 Euro per person per day with a minimum of 3 days.

Electricity/power (for the campervans etc I presume) 2 Euro per day with a one off set up of 3 Euro.

I have a copy of the Reservation form to book places. Confirmations MUST be received by 30 April!

Delta. Is it OK to copy these forms? Do we have a website we can print them off? Is there anything else to be included?

Sorry I have not read the whole thread yet so maybe duplicating stuff in my posting!

Let me know if you are up for it next year as it seems a hoot!

As for this year, I hope to be able to make the Ring as detailed above.

Right i have now got the info for the Old timers grand prix for those that are still interested.

The event is from the 11/8/06 - 13/8/06 (friday to sunday) but Delta has suggested we get there on 10th and leave on the 14th. this avoids the traffic and leaves some time for a circuit or 2 on the the old nurburgring early before we go back on the monday!!

Costs - well the event is 58€. We will be staying on the Klub Lotus Denmark plot 60. The cost is 11€/person per night.

The other expense is the ferry which will be around £65 return.

Although in German you should be able to get there general idea from the info that Delta has supplied.

We need to get some idea of numbers. So could you append your name to those below. Some of oyu have expressed an interest before but this is when you need to be semi committed!!!

I hope to get me finalised and booked in before the end of the week.

Who do I send money / forms to etc?

Would anyone mind a Lambo Gallardo joining us? I'd need forms and finalisation details for him too.

Stef i don't think we need to panic about forms etc at the mo. Delta has got the camp site plot reserved for which there will be enough space for LECers. however Delta has got the plot for Club Lotus Denmark and therefore there might be some objection to a lambo turning up. Still if you don't ask etc etc ........ over to you Delta.

Chris,

Still considering this, have we got to book the ferry as a group or can us northerners get a ferry form up our end? :?

So do we just need to confirm attendance at this stage? (deadline was end of this month)

Is it number of people, tents or cars we need to confirm? I'll be interested in a co-pilot so I don't get lost in these foreign countries so if anyone here is interested let me know. I'll be asking a few of my mates but will probably get little interest from them.

Monty, If there is an easier way to get over there for you then go for it. Where would you go from - if you get any info could you post here please thanks.

At this stage nothing has been booked. Delta has to confirm to the campsite people that he wants the usual Club Lotus Denmark plot by the end of April. I think the plot is for around 30 tents and cars and Delta said that the CLD contiguent will not be taking anywhere near this number.

This is the email that Delta (Jorgan) sent me which should fill in the gaps

"Hi Chris.

Sorry not to have returned your mails untill now, but lately my job has been very demanding, from earyl morning to late night. I haven't had time or energi to do other thing but sleep and work, haven't even been on LEC.!. Well, today I was back early, ( 8 pm after starting at 7 am), so here I am.!.

It was very nice to meet you all at Donny, and I already look forward to next year, where I will take the wife and the car with me.

Yes, the trip back was OK, eventhough we did take the country road to Manchester and nearly missed our flight.

Re.: Nürburgring.

The Ring is easy to find.: http://www.camping-am-nuerburgring.de/Anfahrt.html There are traffic signs the last 50km to the ring from all directions.

The campsite can be found here.: http://www.camping-am-nuerburgring.de/VorOrt.html

The campsite is booked. It's lot 60.

Shown on the map.: http://www.camping-am-nuerburgring.de/Uebersicht.html

It's booked in the name of "Lotus Klub Danmark". There are room for at least 30 cars/tents, and as we'r not likely to be more than 10 from DK, there is plenty of space for everyone, and if we have to, I'm sure we can even squize in a couple more. You don't have to pre-book the campsite, as we have already reservated the area, but ofcourse I will like to know in advance, just to know how many Tuborg's I have to bring. ;-)

Prices for the event is found on this site.:

http://www.avd.de/ogpracing/karten_startseite.shtml

I suggest you take a ticket for the hole event, cost 58 Euro's. Ticket can be bourght at the Ring. Come Thursday evening and go back monday morning. That gives you the best of all, and NO TRAFFIC.

Re.: Driving the old circuit.

Info here.:

http://www.nuerburgring.de/index.php?id ... cted&uid=8

Yes, it's in German, but it basically tells you how to pre-book a ticket. 4 rounds for 56 Euro's + 5 Euros for sending the ticket to you.Only valid in 2006.

At the site you can buy ticket for only 1 roundtrip. Can't remnember the actual price, but think to remember it was 25 Euro's.

In my opinion 1 roundtrip is enough, as there is likely to be a lot of traffic, but it will give you the taste of RACE, and it will qualify you to drive with that famous black sticker on the boot. ;-)

If the whether is perfect, you can always take one more tour.!.

If you clik on the map, it come up larger, and there you can see both the new and old track. On the old track you can find "Nordschlifen-zufarth", that's where you buy tickets an drive on/off the Ring. There are signs everywhere so it's easy to find. All triangels marks spots where you can drive to on the normal roads, park, and watch the action on the ring.

Chris, you may pass-on this mail to other interested LEC's.

Well, tomorrow I'm off to a long deserved 1 week holyday in Italy with the family. I'll be back next saturday, so untill then.......

Best regards.

Jorgen."

Stef re co driver, we should be ok with mobile phones and sat/nav but a bit of company on the trip to keep you focused and to act as a look out for signs wouldn't be a bad thing - any volunteers for a fast ride to the Nurburgring please see Stef.

Jorgan has indicated that he would like an idea of numbers so please register your intent here please.

Cheers Chris
