Cover up for a small scratch on the front bumper

Some stupid TW*T must have packed on my car this week, as I have a small scratch (imaginge a line of tippex about 3 cm long) along the bumper. Its gone through the paint and the fibre is showing.

Any suggestions?

PS: I bet it was that silly cow with her BMW X3 who said she couldnt have hit the car as she has parking sensors! Yeh, parking sensors that might notice the roof!!!

The joys of using your car and having to leave it parked in a public place. Depends how much you want to pay / how invisible you want the repair to be etc.

At very least, a few coats of undercoat in the scratch, with a fine brush, to bring the level almost flush with surrounding paintwork (or even some knifing putty if the scratch is very deep), followed by colour and lacquer for the cost of some touch up paint.

Or you can get a company such as 'Chipsaway' who will charge you for the privilige of an invisible repair.

IMO, you should get her repaired since the fibers are showing. This might lead to further cracking and/or fraying.

My parents have used them a lot recently and the quality of repairs are excellent - ie invisible. Not sure on cost though, could be around ~£80ish? They will give quotes though...

Mikee - I phoned them up recently for a quote as I have a scuff on my bumper - they said typically it would be about £55 for a bumper scuff. They do the job there and then if you are happy with the quote the chap said.
