OK folks
Looks like we have a space. They are actually over subscribed but we should be in!
The space is around 3 metres deep by 3 metres wide. Probably next to Footman James
WE NEED TO HAVE A BACK STAND!
So therefore can people do thier best to sourse something?
No real room for a car this year though.
I shall get it all 100% confirmed later.
An interesting note to make: It is Club Lotus 50th Anniversary and they will be making a DVD. Our presence needs to me made in order to feature well!
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

Great news Stef.
What are they charging us?

What to you mean about a 'back stand'? do you mean 3 metres wide stand with a back to it, or that we're against a wall?
I assume if Enright can do the van thing we can get the stand that was used at stoneleigh, but the Van will need to be kept outside of the venue. (could be used for transport if you dont mind going human traffic style).
Well done Stef for taking a lead on this.

Can bring a copy of this poster if you think that its appropriate, can also add a big Headline on top saying "
Lotus
Elan
Central.com" with the LEC badge on both corners.
Just let me know in time, I got 1 week left...

I tried to get the Friday off work today but was refused.
Spoke to Nige at length last night, and he can bring LEC posters and sheets for the tables, but has already arranged to be in the Midlands by the Friday so won't be available to pick the stand up from.
It would have required 10 hours of driving on the Friday and the van would have been redundant for the majority of Saturday and Sunday anyway, so we need another plan.

I will bring all that I can fit in the Elan, which will be the posters, the 4 large green and yellow displays I made for Stoneleigh and the stickers that I have left from Stoneleigh, these are all for both days and whoever takes the display down can hang onto them afterwards as I don't need them back. I will also bring what other bits I can fit in the car but5a s these are destined to be fitted to my car (eventually) I will take them with me when I head for home on Saturday afternoon. As discused at the East Mids meet last night I will also ensure I'm available to deliver thes to the hall on late (ish) Friday afternoon and then assist with the set up.

I can bring my Samco hoses, Brians hats, brackets & hoses, and the rotors & calipers if they turn up from Rally Design before Midday on the Friday.
I'll be there for the Saturday and as long as someone can get them to Cardiff/Bristol the following week I'll leave them for the Sunday too.
I would bring my spare engine, but there's not enough room in the boot
Let me know what you want.

I'm still working on getting the stand.
They are actually over subscribed but I'm holding hope.
Fingers crossed!

I will definitely be able to help set up on the Friday evening before we all go off currying, and if anything is needed to be brought along then I'm the best placed to find stuff.
Nige has my number, and Stef, if you need it too to arrange stuff then you can either ask him or PM me direct.
Could anyone bring along even a relatively old laptop for playing last year's DVD on? I would but mine died last week.
I'll still bring a folding chair and a camping stool. And probably a bucket too - I think we could use a volunteer or two to do a bit of bucket-shaking in the car park and near the stand for LEC funds, to ensure a better show next year (and at other future events).
What about a rota for stand coverage, assuming we secure the stand?

I'm trying to secure a laptop you can use on the stand. Come to think of it, we got donated some PIII jobbys the other day... I could 'test' them at donington.
