Taxi to and from Travelodge / Curry

Postby Stef » Tue 14.03.2006, 21:13

Well that's where I'm staying.

Anyone else joining in from Travelodge?
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

All,

If you need a taxi, book early. In fact see if you can book a day or two in advance. Seriously.

The Melbourne Arms hotel offers a ' free shuttle service' to and from the airport for hotel guests, however if you ask them nicely, they may make their minibus available as a taxi to and from your hotel for the curry.

OK - well I think it's OK!
16 seater coming to the Travel Lodge at 19:30 to bring diner's to the Hotel for the curry. They have an eight-seater too, if numbers are small.
I tried to explain that there was another hotel en route where a number were staying, but he wants to pick-up from one place only.
Could be a case of gentle driver persuasion nearer the time, perhaps.
Failing that, if you make your collective ways to the Travel Lodge you should be OK.

This is all subject to the caveat, that I understood what he was saying!

I think it best that you start a list of people who want to use this service - just in case it's oversubscribed.

Sounds like a plan, preferably Islay.

I'm at the Holiday Inn Express (along with a few others) could that be en route between the travelodge and the Melbourne arms, or is that too difficult? If so I'll sort something.

Thanks for including me on the list guys - I have been undercover and incommunicado this week. I have bought some Redbreast (Irish pot still whiskey) and some Clynelish/Brora down with me and may also be able to get my hands on some Macallan 10 yo.

See you Friday.

ALL CHANGE

They have agreed to pick up from the Holiday Inn too.

So please ensure the 16 seater stops on the way from the Travelodge to the Melbourne Arms.
