BTW - I've done a recce of Rhosneigr's caravan and camping parks together with hostelries and eating places. Unfortunately I don't have my notebook with me but there is some good news - I've found a pub in the village and the yacht club also serves bevvy if you can get signed in by a yachtie type. There's also a chippie, a coffee bar and a couple of cafes/restaurants. If anyone's still going I can report at Donny or post here when I return to the frozen wastes of the North

Anyone more confident of being able to make it?

I am going to book my pass but don't fancy going through the pleading, swearing, and crying if no-one else is going.

If I am able to track I will have to rely on a last min booking opportunity.

If I can come but realistically can't afford the track I will let you all know.

How can I convince a best mate that cars are more important than moaning about how crap life can be?? She won't join in so that may also prevent me from coming along.

Oh the dilemmas...

There's no way I can get the car sorted in time, and it's a hell of a long way to drive just to stand there and watch, so maybe next time.

Tempted by the AC 3000ME Turbo currently on ebay; some similarities to the Elan, and being lightweight/ mid-engined, it could almost have come from Norfolk........on the downside, there's a distinctly Lotus (fag packet) look about the drive-train, too.

Also, most of the aftermarket turbos have since been removed.
I wonder why?

Maybe I have enough grief already. :-D

I've had to scrub due to lack of progress on the Cat project - apologies.
