There would be a small saving because for every 2 sets bought there will be one ring spare. 10+ quantity may also yield a discount.

I was just playing on the UK ebay site, and saw several of these listed. These look like they would fit our Elan instruments. Could tie in nicely for those who've put on the chrome rings around the round gauges.

That's a good find tweet. I bought the rings for the 3 gauges and it does improve and update the look. Those rings had to be "modified" to fit propoerly but it all worked out in the end. I think I'll place an order for a set.................

I found another option for those still interested. I think these are a bit less costly, too.

I bought two sets of these on ebay. I had to get two sets because he was selling them in pairs for the Mercedes. I bought one set to check the fit before buying more. I put the two on that came today, and they are a perfect fit for the 3 guages, although they don't fit in the heater/ac knobs. I think they would if you cut them, just like those Vauxhall ones above.

Based on the pictures above, I'd say these are a little narrower, but they do look really good. I'll post a pic when I get home this afternoon. They have the adhesive already on them, so all you do is take them out of the little bag and stick 'em in place. I takes all of about 2 seconds.

I sent the seller a message, and he already replied that he can get more, and he will sell them individually, or in sets of three. He's getting me a ball-park price on 3-piece sets, based on ten sets sold. I'll get back as soon as he gets me that, which probably won't take long. He answered my first message in about 5 minutes.

I contacted a seller recently regarding rings for the mercedes that I had hoped would fit. he told me he can provide them in 57mm or 58.5mm diameters. Haven't yet measured to see if any of those sizes will fit. Don't know when I'll get to it but when I do, I'll let you know if either will fit.

Before I bought those on ebay, I asked the seller for the diameter and he said 56mm. I don't know if he was talkng outside or inside diameter, but I'll assume inside. Anyway, the Mercedes rings do fit the three gauges perfectly, but my first inclination is to say the 58.5mm ones will be a little bit too big. (I'd go for the smaller ones, or if you want to wait, I think I've got us a group buy on the ones I got.) When I was cutting the faux-carbon-fibre trim for that area, I measured the openings, and cut 57mm holes for the guages, which worked nicely, so I figured his 56mm response meant they would likely work. Basically, I'd say they are 2 1/4'' gauges.

The carbon-fibre stuff is actually very subtle, not like red, or even polished aluminum, and so are the chrome rings. I think you can tell both from the above picture. Also, the carbon-fibre was pretty much a necessity because of the multiple shades of grey and black on the console, specially after I installed the volvo cupholder.

This is not the kind of car for flashy blingy stuff, or obnoxious colors. I'll leave that to the 16-25 year old crowd and their hondas. :gray:

I'm right there with you on the chrome trim rings. Its very subtle and just the right touch of "modern" to bring the interior at least one decade closer to today.
